The Program in International Nutrition (PIN) at Cornell University
focuses on research, policy and action to improve nutrition and health in low and middle-income countries.
The PIN network of research faculty and staff, graduate students, and alumni is connected by engagement in efforts to discover, implement, and evaluate strategies to address immediate and underlying causes of poor nutrition.
Graduate study in the Field of Nutrition at Cornell offers a concentration in international nutrition within the doctoral program in the Division of Nutritional Sciences (DNS).
Activities
Many PIN activities are designed to support and connect nutrition graduate students with each other, and with faculty in nutrition and across campus.
One example is NS6980, a weekly Seminar in International Nutrition on topics of interest to students and faculty in a range of disciplines related to nutrition and international development.
Alumni
Beyond Cornell, the PIN network includes over 270 alumni with graduate, masters and PhD degrees focused on international nutrition research. Alumni of the program work all over the world with governments, international agencies, donors, non-governmental organizations, academic and research institutes to create and translate nutrition evidence into effective practice.
If you are an alum, we’d love to hear from you! Please email us and let us know what you’re up to these days!
